Best Player Out There
I bought two of this little player a couple years back. I have used them non-stop since. Unfortunately, I lost one while out and about a few months back. I have been looking a players for a replacement ever since but similar ones just don't have the quality, features or simplicity of use as this mozaic. Finally, the 16gb is available again at a great price - so I bought two more (fear of losing another and not being able to get it again). I will say that this is the best player that I've had. I prefer it to iPods and Zunes. It is so durable and easy to use and it has every feature you could want. I can truly say that I love it. Below is my original review of this great little player:I wanted an inexpensive flash drive player that would hold all my music as a secondary player to my Zunes. my favorite player for audible books
This is my favorite MP3 player for listening to Audible dot com books. What I like about it is that it was a large memory sized flash player that lasts until the cows come home. It's the player that bridges the gap between the more expensive touch screens and the Sandisk's. On a 3 hour charge, it lasts for 17 hours, much longer then my hard drive driven Zunes. It has an external speaker that turns on automatically when you unplug the cord, nice feature. It isn't too big or to small, round smooth construction, buttons are easy to decipher in the dark and the colors are good.I don't leave home without this little gem, I love the sleep timer and the ability to delete content without going on the computer, something that would be useful in the higher end MP3 players. I own a Zune, an IPod touch and SanDisk and I use this player more then all of the rest combined. Even though the buttons are small, they work well with muscle memory without looking. My Personal favorite.
The Creative ZEN series has got to be my favorite of ALL MP3 Players out there. It is basic and simple, not to mention easy to use. Battery life is long, and I use solely for music, so that helps.My ONLY complaint is having to update it straight out of the box. When it arrived in the mail, I was happy, had all the song files geared to go, loaded them on and brought to work with me the next day. Alot of skipping and freezing. I actually thought it was defective!!!! When I got home, I searched online and learned most of Creatives MP3 products require updates. Not that is is a big deal, just goto their website and download it and install, but I could see it to bee a potential problem for someone who didnt think or know to do so.

Great value player that will meet most needs
I have read many of the reviews here before purchasing the player and despite being warned of all the cons, i decided to take a gamble for its price and Creative's brand name. I had some initial problems with the Bluetooth feature with the M300 but these were resolved when I upgraded the firmware to the latest one (1.00.16) from the Creative website. There are some things that this player cannot do but for those that it can, it does it pretty well.The main selling feature of this player is of course Bluetooth streaming. Pairing the player to my bluetooth headphones and car stereo (you need to key in your 4-digit code) were relatively simple (it takes seconds) and the audio quality is excellent. This is my first Bluetooth-compatible player, and i am surprised by how much i like this wireless thing. Not having to worry about wires dangling around your dashboard is awesome. The latest firmware is 1.00.16 and relatively easy to update.2. Don't press the so-called "buttons" with brute force. Just make sure your finger taps the markings gently and you'll be fine.POSITIVES:1. Very easy Bluetooth pairing process (enter the universal default code of 0000). sd card issue
i'm happy with my creative zen m100, however there are a couple of issues with it. one issue worth pointing out in detail is the one of the sd card memory expansion. while i was very aware that music from the internal memory and the music you add via sd card would be separate, i had no idea that the player has to scan the card EVERY TIME you choose to open the sd card library. even when you have not taken the card out of the player. depending on how much music you have in it that could take a few seconds or a few minutes. also, the player is not going to organize your music from your sd card as it does with the music you put in it's internal memory. instead it reads it in files. so i suggest organizing it yourself in files so it's easier for you to sort though your music there.i still like my player and there are many things positive with it (read the pros), but i think the sd card issue is something that people should know about before purchasing this product...

Great for audiobooks
This is an excellent player for audiobooks. It has ten bookmarking positions (these are marks that hold the place if there's something you want to go back and listen to again) which most audio players do not have. I bought a refurbished player and it has worked great for eight months, and I use the player almost every day when I'm commuting. I also love the speaker function. That way, if I'm listening to an audiobook, I can take off the headphones when I get home and continue listening. It's also great for times when headphones would not be convenient. Adjusting the volume and putting the player on hold are very easy. The only downside I can find to this player is that the radio reception is not good.

Great Product
I have owned a plain old Zen for a least three, maybe four years now and I love this product.So much so that I bought the Mozaic for my husband two years ago. This is a man who can and will breakany thing that he has owned. He hasn't broken his Zen though!The main reason I'm actually writing this review is because I saw some one comment on the Zen X-Fi 8g is notcompatable with OverDrive media console used by the libraries to download books. That may be so but don'twalk away from the other Zens to download your books. My Zen and the Mosaic work fine. It was the main reasonI got an MP3 player was to listen to books. Then bought hubby one because he listens more than I do.We've downloaded a ton of books over the years. Better than ipod for audiobooks, not as good as original Zen
I bought this refurbished 8GB Zen Mozaic when the battery life on my beloved Creative Zen became a real problem after six years of reliable use. I use the Zen almost exclusively for Overdrive audiobooks from my library and podcasts and the 8GB storage has not been an issue. The bookmarking feature is critical to me, and the Mozaic's ten bookmarks work great. The speaker isn't high quality, but it's perfectly adequate for those times when you don't want to use headphones. Managing audio files on the Zen using Windows is easy enough. The FM radio works well, but uses the headphone cords as an antenna, so no speaker for that.The Mozaic is smaller than I expected and very light weight. The larger screen on the older model was easier to read. The control buttons on the Mozaic are small, so I find myself fumbling to hit the right control button. The earbuds that come with the Mozaic aren't comfortable, so plan to replace them at once.
