The Ace of Music and Video
While the ipod Touch has wifi and games, its audio and video quality are mediocre. If you sincerely care about your music and videos, the Cowon S9 is superb at bringing out the best of both. Cowon's legendary sound quality is as one would expect from its latest media player, but the AMOLED screen is what made me decide to purchase this over the itouch. It is 1000x more responsive than LCD and has 10,000 to 1 contrast ratio improvement, making watching videos on this thing quite amazing. Everything is very sharp and high quality videos don't blur in movement. Best of all, there's no need to spend six or seven hours converting a 2 hour movie if it's in AVI or WMV, so it's much easier to enjoy videos. If you're more into music, the S9 supports FLAC and OGG for audiophiles, allowing you to enjoy your music the way it was meant to be listened to.The UI is not THAT clumbsy. Cowon S9. My Review
Cowon is famous for it's media players. Latest in the line is this beautiful S9 Curve. The first thing I look for when I get a new player is the latest firmware. Cowon is on the ball. Version 2.05 came out before mine arrived, and I ordered mine from Jetmall.net the first day they were available in the U.S.. Version 2.06 came out 12/24. We're already up to 2.30 and the S9 just keeps getting better. I've always thought Cowon's players were bulky and not very practical or portable. The S9 changes the rules. Clearly Cowon has noticed that beautiful, innovative looks can help sell players.What they didn't do was forget it's a media player. Music is best is class. Video is amazing shown on it's 3.3" AMOLED widescreen. Photos follow suite. After adjusting the screen protector on the top edge, I just dropped it on the face. Only two minor bubbles appeared, which were quickly and easily pushed out by the micro-fiber cloth provided!Took Zero time to cure perfectly! Looks awesome! Clear, smooth, and does not hinder the Super AMOLED touch screen responsiveness; meanwhile, the beautiful AMOLED screen looks even better now!!!Compared to Zagg I bought for my Android, which turned into a miserable messy install, and takes DAYS to "cure" and clear-up. Great screen protector
This screen protector is awesome. I will admit that I had some difficult putting it on, (mainly because I peeled the back surface all the way off, then tried to put it on, instead of peeling it off as I put it on). However, once I finally got it on, it was great. When the player is on, you can't see any prints or marks. The oil from your fingers is visible when the player is off, but I just wipe it off with my shirt or some other fabric.The price was good, especially since there were two in the package.Overall, I'm very very pleased.

The best player out there
I spent months researching various portable media and audio players. I knew iPods were not the best in terms of sound quality, and I knew I was missing out on a lot by listening on an iPod. I have all of my music encoded in FLAC lossless audio, something Apple and Steve Jobs refused to allow iPods to play. I refuse to encode all of my files in Apple Lossless, plus the iTunes CD extraction program is terrible...and obviously the songs you download on iTunes are compressed and low bit rate songs. Using Exact Audio Copy (EAC) I have all of my music in FLAC, the highest quality track you can have recorded. Now, I just needed a player to play these files.I looked into the Nationite s:flo2, the Cowon S9, the Cowon J3, Samsung P3, Sansa Clip, Sansa Fuze, and the other common audiophile player. I preface this review by noting that I have used it only in a PC environment. It is my understanding that it is very easy to inadvertantly "brick" this player when using it with anything Apple, even when running windows on a Mac using a VM (virtual machine).AUDIO - This player definitely cements Cowon's reputation for making the best sounding portable players available. The only real problem with the sound is that the player is cabable of reproducing audio at a level that far outstrips the included headphones. It is almost like putting bicycle tires on a Ferrari. Anyone considering purchasing this player would do well to opt for a really good set of noise isolating or cancelling earphones. Very Good Audio - Touchy Interface
I keep my eyes open for music players that have large storage capacity and very good audio quality.My favorite player has been the Sony NWZ-S739F (the 16GB version that was never sold in the US). The Sony is about as close to a perfect player as I could hope for: Small, good display, superior tactile controls, SensMe (some people think that is a gimmick, but it scans your music and groups it into different "moods), good battery life, and good noise cancelling ear-buds. But one of these days it will pass on (or the battery will conk out). I also have my original NWZ-S738F (8GB) but that means more managing of my tunes.Cowon is a bit of an under-the-radar manufacturer, but has a strong following among people who are looking for good audio quality and a wider range of playback formats (MP3/2, WMA, OGG, APE, WAV, & FLAC). Amazing sound quality, but not perfect!
I am a new customer to Cowon's music players, so if I misunderstood a feature or such let me know!This is the review for the Cowon iAudio 10 32GB. I originally owned a 30GB iPod Classic for 5 years before deciding on purchasing a product other than Apple's. I came upon this product and was told it was known to have great audio quality, better than the iPod's.PROS:Installation: The great thing about this product is that, unlike Apple, it doesn't require its own music program to sync to the player. I fully charged the player, transferred my music through Windows Media Player straight to it. It is not as fast syncing as with with the iPod in iTunes, but quality is what you pay for and boy does this player deliver! Note: Due to it not having its own program, you will not be notified of online updates for the player. You will have to go to the Cowon Global site to check for updates.Audio: On the normal audio settings, the music doesn't stand out...
